Our Mission Statement

The Bridging the Gap Foundation exists to support individuals and families in the North Coast community who fall between traditional systems of assistance—those who are often overlooked, underserved, or ineligible for existing programs. The organization provides timely, compassionate support to vulnerable populations such as foster youth transitioning into independence, foster families, reunified families, survivors of domestic violence, and community members facing urgent or unexpected hardship. By working alongside local agencies and partners, Bridging the Gap delivers both emergency and supplemental assistance designed to meet real, immediate needs with dignity and care.

Bridging the Gap Foundation, a 501(c)(3), began with a simple holiday tradition: providing gifts to teenage foster youth, reunited families, and survivors of domestic violence—offering joy and hope to those often forgotten. What started as a seasonal act of kindness has grown, thanks to the help of the North Coast community, into a year‑round mission of support.

Today, the foundation actively seeks out the places where people fall through the gaps, stepping in to assist local agencies, families, and individuals when they need it most. Through strong partnerships with service providers and direct engagement with community members, the foundation works to restore stability, opportunity, and dignity for those navigating difficult circumstances.

With direct aid, outreach initiatives, and community‑driven support, Bridging the Gap Foundation strives to fill critical service gaps and respond where other programs cannot—helping individuals regain footing, build resilience, and move toward a more secure and independent future.
